North Carolina State Parks

North Carolina state parks and recreation areas, as well as trails, are open, but visitor centers, picnic shelters and swim areas remain closed. Visit the North Carolina State Parks website for the open/closed status of individual parks and recreation areas.

Because state parks have been experiencing record visitation numbers, consider visiting earlier in the day or on a weekday to avoid crowds.

North Carolina Historic Sites

North Carolina Zoo
